Cherchez la femme...

"Look for the woman" [as cause of a problem] -Alexandre Dumas, my hero for the week.

On Dumas, pere: "His writing earned him a great deal of money, but Dumas was frequently broke and in debt as a result of spending lavishly on countless women and high living."

Ah, we should all be so fortunate to live the good life such as Monsieur Dumas.

Interesting evening tonight, went to meet a friend at an unfamiliar location...due in equal parts to bad directions, unfamiliarity with the area, thoroughly retarded planning/flow of a US highway, and my complete inability to read signs when I'm running late due to asinine factors such as those just described, I almost completely missed out on a fabulous time. Ended up being nearly 30 minutes late, and through completely dumb luck, just happened to see her car go the other way while lost and trying to get my bearings. We end up on an isolated, dead-end road, under a viaduct (don't you just hate it when people pronounce that word "viaDOCK"? Drives me absolutely up a wall, although I seem to hear it less here than in the north...maybe because there seem to be fewer here anyway.) on the hood of my car, watching the stars and freezing our respective asses off for easily the most enjoyable 45 minutes so far this week. And now the weekend's here. Life is good.

Now then, there seems to be a total blog post drought going on...several of the ones I keep up with have been all but dead for days! Come on guys (chicks too), let's get going! Do what you need to do to stir the creative forces within, let's get writing! I'm bored!

[cue crickets]

Sheesh, fine...I'm going to bed, then...
