All over the place...

Earlier today, when I thought about it, I seemed to be under the impression that I had a bunch to write. Now, very nearly 12 hours later, I find that that's not necessarily the case any longer.

Awoke today to an IM from Kate (yes, THE Kate) asking me to call her. Turns out evrything's cool, just had a small favour to ask. It was good to talk to her, however briefly; we don't really keep in touch anywhere enough these days.

Threw together some pork chops for lunch, I really don't care for overdone meat, but the ubiquitous "they" say you should always fully cook pork. I like my steaks (beef) increasingly rare these days, and that's begun to bleed (no pun) into pork a little. I try to balance proper foodservice skills, lest I drop dead of some kind of foodborne illness. Anyway, hope I don't get trichinosis. They were tasty, but that's probably too dear a price to pay for juicy pork chops. Is it fairly obvious that I came home hungry? I don't normally obsess over food this much. Talking to the ex-girlfriend gets three lines, possible trichinosis (I love saying that) gets 7. Do I have my priorities straight or what?!

Have begun recruiting fellow Charlottans/charlatans (I'm so proud of that homophone, can you tell?) for the mass desencion on the Perch next Thursday, so if you live in or near Charlotte, beware, I will be bugging you about this. I must do the bidding of the talking baby.

Goddamn, I so need to cancel my AOL. These guys are such shysters; They're telling me that though I've had my AOL account and Screen Name, "GTChang" for well over 12 years now (never mind that I've only paid for the last half or so of that time), if I were to close my AOL account, I lose my screen names, and hence, my whole AOL/AIM buddy list. I haven't appreciably used my AOL acocunt or proprietary AOL services for anything but e-mail/IM for the last 13 or so months, and I think it's silly to pay $14.95/month for crappy e-mail that I never check! But I'm loathe to give up the screen name, because if anyone in the last 13 or so years from my past should get the sudden urge to call/find me, they'll be able to, as my e-mail address hasn't changed in forever.

Ah well, getting sleepy. more on this later. Ciao!
