Improving on charmed...

So original Friday night plans are kind of on hold/don't materialize, so I'm hanging out at home debating what to do, when who should appear but hottie fitness girl K, my roommate's former roommate, so the old me. Or am I the new her? Regardless, she tells of a friend's bonfire gathering in the woods of SC, says I absolutely MUST attend if I have no other plans. Now K is beautiful, and based on what little I know of/have seen from time to time, seems entirely and amazingly cool, like the total person you could just hang with all the time and have great fun, only on top of all that, she also happens to be hot too, so cool people to have around...So at the drop of the proverbial hat, we're off! First to Lowes (I know, I know, not the home improvement place, but a local grocer (or greengrocer if you're English)) to get some wine, Old Bay Seasoning steamed shrimp (yum) and some Guinness bottles (also yum). Cruise on out to BFE, SC (actually only like 5 miles from civilization) again, fabulous digs out in the woods, meet some cool cool people there. Gigantic 20-foot bonfire outside, roaring fire in the hearth, good food drink and music inside, great people to chat and hang out with, tend the fire, munch, hot tub, chit chat, drink, indulge.

Guy behind the guy Tony, fab hostess Doreen (sp?), rock star looking Kevin #1 and very Brooklyn Italian Maria, Designated Driver (but knows every song that comes off the satellite) Chris, Crazy Ass Kevin (#2), Matt and Kel...I think that's it...did I miss anyone? No clue...think that's it though, fab bunch, truly grand people, will see more of them in the future...Thanks a bunch guys! Y'all are a riot!

Crash around 5am, best couch ever! Up for an interactive group breakfast (oddly shaped pancakes, eggs of all kinds, sausages, OJ, much coffee and goofiness) around 10-11, talk talk talk, hot tub again (LOVE the hot tub), munch more Old Bay shrimp and fabulous homemade salsa, yum!

What are the odds of meeting two completely separate groups of cool-as-hell people in two adjacent weekends? That's right, damn-near-impossible, I'm a fortunate guy. They're cooking out tonight as well, if I didn't already have plans, I'd so be there! But alas, perhaps another time...

Home now to shower and possibly nap, out tonight with the crazy crowd from last weekend...promises to be a good time for all...Updates as time permits.
